Accounts payable staff
- Responsible for timely processing and matching of vendor invoices with purchase orders and receipts. Secure management approval on invoices for goods or services not requiring a purchase order
- Monitor the Accounts Payable aging to review credit balances with vendors to determine if a refund is appropriate
- Communicate with receiving, purchasing and vendor personnel for prompt resolution of discrepancies.
- Responsible for managing process for all disbursements including check runs, Wires, and ACH.
- Responsible for annual 1099 filings and accuracy of vendor master file for 1099 reporting requirements.
- Manage employee expense reports.
- Responsible for accurate and timely completion of A/P month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process as well as annual expense budgeting.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance all internal controls in relation to A/P and Cash Disbursement functions.
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries to AP-related accounts, preparing reconciliations for these accounts, clearing any applicable reconciling items, and preparing any schedules required for the audit or management.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Experience using ERP management information system, Oracle, a must
- Must possess 3+ years of accounting, AP experience a must
- Proficiency with Microsoft Products, including Excel
- Experience with 1099 and W-9 reporting and requirements
- Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions
- Strong attention to detail and well organized
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with direct reports, Finance colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail while possessing a strong work ethic, hands-on, and enthused about working in a collaborative team environment.
